Demand for Organic Food Grows Strongly in Switzerland

One in ten fresh food items sold in Switzerland last year was organic, according to the Federal Office for Agriculture. In sales, the Swiss organic food market grew by 7.6% per year over the past decade. The total value of organic food sold in Switzerland rose from CHF1.3 billion in 2007 to CHF2.7 billion in 2017. Annual per-capita expenditure rose from CHF171 to CHF320.

33% of U.S. Consumers Seek Organic, Natural Foods

A new online survey of 1,000 adults fielded in the third quarter of 2017 found that 33 percent of consumers make an effort to buy only (or mostly) organic and natural products.

Six in Ten Aussies Buy Organic

The organic food industry has burst onto the consumer scene in the last couple of years and new research released by Australia Organic suggest that it isn’t slowing down anytime soon. The research, conducted by Mobium Group, suggests that more than six in 10 Australian households buy organic products in any given year.
