A pair of recently announced educational sessions will explore how technology is enhancing organic crop production and offer a look at the growth of organic fresh produce sales at grocery stores across the nation over the past two years as part of the 2021 Organic Grower Summit (OGS) Presented by Western Growers and OPN on December 1-2 in Monterey, CA.
Searing heat this summer and other factors combined to reduce the volume of many of California’s citrus varieties, but there will still be plenty of opportunities to promote the organic citrus category through this fall and into the spring of 2022.
Jenny Lester Moffitt was recently confirmed as Under Secretary of Agriculture for Marketing and Regulatory Programs at the USDA and will be responsible for facilitating trade and setting national and international agricultural standards, including the National Organic Program (NOP).
