The Organic Grower Summit presented by Western Growers and OPN will honor long-time organic grower Jeff Huckaby as the recipient of the fifth annual Grower of the Year award. Huckaby, President and CEO of Grimmway Farms, was selected based on his ongoing commitment and dedication to excellence in organic production, organic industry leadership, and innovation.
While certain types of organic hard squash are sold year-round, this organic vegetable is at peak popularity and variety right now.
Ongoing inflation resulted in higher retail prices of organic fresh produce during the third quarter of 2022, generating a 4.1 percent increase in total organic dollars but also contributing to a decline of 4.5 percent in organic volume compared to the same period last year, according to the Q3 2022 Organic Produce Performance Report released by Organic Produce Network (OPN) and Category Partners.
Staying true to its tagline declaring its expertise in the mango business, Crespo Organic Mangoes will launch a new line of dried mangoes at the International Fresh Produce Association Global Produce and Floral Show in Orlando next week.
