Zamora is the owner of JSM Organics, a certified organic farm located in the rolling hills of Royal Oaks/Aromas, CA. His team is dedicated to producing the highest quality organic strawberries, raspberries, blackberries, vegetables and cut flowers.

Last spring, the USDA unexpectedly terminated the rulemaking process that would have established an Organic Research and Promotion Program or Check-Off. The halt of the program shocked many because the program could have generated close to $30 million annually and provided funding for organic research, technical assistance for new organic farmers while educating consumers on the meaning of organic.

As one of the largest retailers of organic food sales in the United States, Costco announced their commitment to participating in the second annual Organic Grower Summit (OGS) this coming December 12-13, in Monterey, CA. Costco, with annual fresh produce sales of $4 billion, will sponsor two half-day events providing certified organic farmers and growers the opportunity to meet with Costco buyers.
