The U.S. Department of Agriculture created the USDA Organic seal to reassure retailers and consumers that the organic claim is valid.

The Non-GMO Project, which wants to eliminate all genetically modified foods from the U.S. supply chain, tests foods for GMOs and certifies those that don't have any GMO ingredients.
