OPN Co-Founder Tonya Antle Featured Speaker at AMPHAC

Tonya Antle, Cofounder and EVP of The Organic Produce Network,  was a featured speaker this past week at AMHPAC (Mexican Association for Protected Agriculture). This association is a group of 280 companies related to the production, packaging, distribution and inputs in the production chain of protected agriculture.

“Tonya brought her three plus decades of knowledge of this category to the stage with high energy, passion and enthusiasm” said, Erica Renaud, regional business manager for North America for Vitalis Organic Seeds.   Antle’s speech was focused on of the organic sector, production and regulations, the organic consumer, and the global organic market.

Additionally, she discussed growing sales trends for organic fresh produce,  the power of the USDA Organic brand, and the future looks for organic farmers. Antle noted organic produce sales reached $15.6 billion in sales in 2016, up 15% from last year and accounts for 40% of all organic food sales.
