Retailer registration for Organic Produce Summit 2023 is now open, with qualified individuals from retail and direct-to-consumer buying organizations eligible for complimentary registration and hotel accommodations. The seventh annual OPS will be held July 12-13 at the Monterey Conference Center in Monterey, CA.
OPN recently caught up with Organically Grown Company’s Brenna Davis for a chat about her priorities as OGC’s CEO, some of the company’s new initiatives and offerings, her thoughts on the current state of the organic produce industry, and more.
With a lighter crop for the 2022-2023 season, there is no doubt that some varieties of organic apples will not have much volume, but there are now good supplies of many varieties, with late winter and spring being touted as the perfect time for retail promotions.
With 2023 upon us, the number of people working in agriculture looking to utilize robots and automation is at an all-time high. Naïo Technologies, which has more than 400 robots deployed worldwide, has been a leader in helping farmers with this tech, with its robots able to perform tasks like weeding on specialty crop operations.
