“Organics in an Era of Inflation and Changing Consumer Behavior” will be the subject of an upcoming Organic Produce Summit 2022 ed session featuring Walmart's Vice President of Global Produce Sourcing, Richard Gonzales, and Category Partners' CEO, Tom Barnes. The pair will give an exclusive analysis of organic fresh produce sales through the first half of this year and examine how consumer purchasing behavior is changing in a time of inflation.
Total organic fresh produce sales for the first quarter of 2022 increased by 4 percent from the same period last year, topping $2.3 billion, according to the Q1 2022 Organic Produce Performance Report released exclusively by Organic Produce Network and Category Partners.
