Aldi increased organic food sales by 5.63%

Over the past decade, Aldi's organic food sales have experienced significant growth. According to internal research, 18% of shopping baskets contained at least one organic product last year, which means the chain sold 5.63% more organic products than in 2022. Read more at Fresh Plaza.

USDA offers $10M in Organic Market Development Grants

The USDA awarded an additional $9.7 million to 13 grant projects to increase the consumption of domestic and organic agricultural products. The USDA said these funds were awarded through its Agricultural Marketing Service’s Organic Market Development Grant (OMDG) program. Read more at The Packer.

Interest in organic production rises across Bulgaria

The Ministry of Agriculture and Food reported an increase in interest in organic production in the country. There are currently 4,961 registered organic producers in Bulgaria compared to 4,863 at the end of 2022. Read more at Bulgarian News Agency.
