Tive Offers Organic Customers a Real-Time View of Perishable Shipments
March 10, 2021
Tive believes the strongest trust belongs to those who are transparent, open, and deliver on their word. That’s why the company uses its technical expertise to help solve complex problems, improving the businesses it works with.
For those in the organic produce industry (as well as many other industries), Tive helps monitor shipments and works with carriers and logistics service providers to prevent delays and damage, which can be detrimental to a grower’s program.
Krenar Komoni, Founder and CEO, Tive
Tive was founded by Krenar Komoni in 2015 after he continually observed his father-in-law (the owner of a trucking business in Shrewsbury, Massachusetts) on his phone at dinner trying to track down his shipments. Komoni said, “I am going to invent something so that we can eat dinner in peace.”
“Tive offers a real-time view of the location and condition of perishable shipments,” said Komoni, CEO of the Boston-based company. “We proactively alert logistics professionals when a shipment falls outside temperature, if someone opened the trailer or container, or if the shipment is going to be late. This way, shippers can take the appropriate actions necessary to save shipments.”

Since its beginnings, Tive has continued to improve the accuracy, battery life, and performance of its Solo 5G tracker to ensure it delivers hyper-accurate location and condition data, so growers and shippers can feel confident that they have accurate information and insights into every fresh produce shipment.

Tive trackers are deployed on thousands of shipments worldwide every single day, and all the parties involved benefit by understanding the exact location and condition of their loads.
For instance, Tive will create detailed reports to share with customers, analyzing their data to identify improvement opportunities, specify the constraints relevant to their shipments, and share location and condition data of shipments in real time to help ensure on time and in full delivery.

“Part of our go to market continues to be meeting customers and prospects face-to-face, especially at industry events and conferences,” Komoni said. “We are excited about 2022 as we believe it will be a year where we will start to have more meaningful interactions at events and discuss [the] latest technologies essential to ensuring that fresh produce is delivered safely, on time, and in full.”

The mission at Tive is to use all its resources to learn new things and create solutions every day.
“Our company mission is to pioneer beyond what we thought possible,” Komoni said. “We imagine a world fully transparent, where everything and everyone is connected.”
The company has grown every year since its inception, increasing from dozens of team members to almost 100 in many different regions worldwide, including Kosovo, Switzerland, Latin America, Germany, Poland, Australia, Netherlands, Italy, Spain, and South Africa.

That growth is expected to continue in the year ahead as Tive continues to prove its worth to the organic industry and others.
“Our product teams are focused on our customers and continue to deliver enhancements that ensure that shippers of fresh produce can ensure that their shipments avoid preventable damage and delays,” Komoni said. “We are very proud to announce the addition of our 24/7 shipment monitoring team. This team acts as an extension for all the shippers and logistics service providers and provides an added layer of assurance as part of our end-to-end solution.”
