It’s not just the produce that stays fresh at the Organic Produce Summit. This year’s event features two new activities for attendees to reflect and connect on Monterey Bay: yoga and a community-service project.
Early risers at OPS 2024 enjoyed yoga at the nearby Monterey Marriott, kicking off a morning filled with good vibes. Before the hustle and bustle of the event began, attendees got a chance to reflect and take in their peaceful surroundings during this rejuvenating session.
Next, OPS guests got a chance to serve the community in the Salad Bowl of the World. The Seed to Service project partnered OPS volunteers with Brighter Bites, a nonprofit with a mission to create communities of health through fresh food. In two hours, volunteers packed 1,000 bags of fresh produce for local families receiving services at the Boys & Girls Clubs of Monterey County, Central Coast YMCA, Frank Ledesma Elementary School and First Tee—Monterey County. What a feel-good morning!
