4. EU Countries Commit to Having 25% Organic Farming by 2030

The European ministers of Agriculture from the 27 EU countries have unanimously committed to the goal of having 25 percent of the bloc's agricultural area dedicated to organic production by 2030. The ministers made this commitment at the meeting of the EU Agriculture and Fisheries Council held this Monday in Brussels, the first after the 27 EU countries agreed on the reform of the Common Agricultural Policy (CAP) that gives more weight to sustainable agriculture.   Read More
