General attendee registration for the Organic Grower Summit Presented by Western Growers and Organic Produce Network is now open, with discounted fees available. Featuring a series of in-depth educational sessions and a trade show floor that includes an area specifically designed for agtech companies, the fourth annual OGS will be held December 1-2 in Monterey, CA.
Hosted by Organic Produce Network (OPN) in partnership with Western Growers, Organic Grower Summit (OGS) 2021 will feature a comprehensive educational program that includes a range of topics designed to inform and engage organic growers, farmers, producers, and their service and supply chain partners. Farm soil management, the growth of controlled environment agriculture (CEA), advances in agricultural technology, and investing in the future of organic farming are among the topics to be discussed by organic industry leaders at OGS.
“Our partnership with Western Growers is providing OGS attendees a tremendous opportunity for growers to learn from and network with their supply chain partners and service providers in an intimate and engaging two-day event," said Tonya Antle, co-founder of Organic Produce Network. “The goal of OGS is to provide the organic growing community with up-to-date resources, education, and information to support their continued success.”
With the cancellation of last year’s OGS due to the COVID pandemic, there is pent-up demand for members of the organic growing community to meet in person and discuss the latest issues, challenges, and opportunities in the production of organic fresh produce.
“We have made attending the show as economically feasible as possible, with discounted pricing available for not only Western Grower members but also members of California Certified Organic Farmers (CCOF). Special one-day pricing is also available,” Antle said.
Nearly one half of the OGS trade show floor is already sold. Exhibitors include soil amendment, biopesticide, food safety product, ag technology, and equipment manufacturers who will be connecting with organic field production staff, supply chain managers, pest management advisors, and food safety experts.
OGS will be held December 1-2 at the Hyatt Monterey Conference Center in Monterey, California. Both general and exhibitor registration is open, with more details on the educational program, including session topics and speakers, to be released in the coming weeks.
