 Peppers

Organic Green Peppers out of Florida continue to see strong quality and high yields, throughout March. Organic Red, Yellow, and Orange Bell Peppers from Mexico and Israel continue to see consistent volumes. Pricing remains steady for both items, with quality rated as outstanding.

Tropicals

Organic Ataulfo Honey Mangos will be steady in supply through March and quality should be excellent. Organic Kent Mangos are very promotable as the Peruvian season winds down. Mexico continues to ramp up for their season and more Organic Tommy Atkins Mangos are crossing each week. Organic Pineapple supplies, with good quality, remain strong on the east coast and will be promotable through March. ALERT- Organic Hass Avocados from Mexico are experiencing a volatile market situation, with prices on the rise. Growers are finding the cold weather and freezing conditions from February affected crops more than originally thought. This will impact pricing and availability through the end of March and into the beginning of April. Larger sized fruit will remain the tightest in volume.

Asparagus

Organic Asparagus has been so plentiful during the past two months that there have been some incredible spot buys. With Easter approaching prices are starting to rise, yet this will remain a very promotable item. Quality on peak season product out of Mexico has been excellent.

Pears

New crop Argentina Organic Bartlett Pears are available now, with Organic Red Bartlett Pears due in the third week of March.

Citrus
