Conventional wisdom says consumers on the coasts are more committed and passionate about organic produce than those in the middle of the country. But Russ Davis Wholesale Inc., headquartered in Minnesota and servicing the Upper Midwest region, has 10 years of growth disputing that fact.
On the North Fork of Long Island, Sang Lee Farms has been providing fresh vegetables to its community for over 70 years. Since becoming certified organic in 2007, they’ve also committed to educating the community about the connection between organic agriculture and health.
General attendee registration is now open for the Organic Grower Summit (OGS), slated for December 12-13 in Monterey, CA. A joint-production between California Certified Organic Farmers (CCOF) and Organic Produce Network (OPN), OGS will bring together the entire organic growing and production chain as well as service providers and supply chain partners for two days of information, education and networking opportunities.
